Buying a new computer
When you want to buy a new computer what specifications and peripherals will you need to consider?
Go for the highest Processor, Ram and Hard drive size that you can buy and make sure that the Main board has the potential for upgrade (no such thing as a future proof motherboard yet).
Most people think they will get a LCD monitor with there PC but ensure that you look at the fine print (monitor shown not included, being my point). If you require several screens you should look into using KVM switches.
Make sure that when you are buying a colour printer, that you get it with individual colour ink cartridges be it Canon, Epson, Hp or Brother.
Information security
Integrity of data and information is a simple concept. Data integrity means that data won't be changed, created or destroyed by an unauthorised person. If you use a database it is important to have good information security as changes can reduce relevancy and make data redundant.
Security has always been a major part of the IT world. Many companies involved in the IT industry has to take security into account. This includes information security, on site security as well as security from natural disasters. Almost all of these risks can be solved by using security devices and some common sense.
